Animal Shelter

Washington City's Animal Shelter cares about animals, we coordinate to provide low cost spaying and neutering to control our pet population. We also strive to keep our streets free of stray animals that cause issues with our pets and our lifestyles.

Spay and neuter clinics will be sponsored periodically by No More Homeless Pets in Utah. They will be advertised in advance. Click to the Right to check the City Event Calendar for clinics.

Remember, all dogs in the city must be licensed.  Licenses are valid from January 1st through December 31st, expiring on December 31st regardless of the time of year purchased. A $10.00 late fee per animal will be charged after February 28.  Rabies shots are required every 3 years to license the animal.  There is a discount for licensing pets that are spayed or neutered, bring in proof to receive this price reduction. Part-time residents who are in the city longer than 30 days are required to license their dogs.

Washington City's Animal Shelter is open Monday-Friday from 11am-1pm and 4pm-6pm, closed weekends and holidays.
