Message from Mayor Kenneth Neilson....

September 2014

Did your summer go by as fast as mine did? It is amazing that we all have the same amount of time in a day, but where does it go?

Looking out the window today while writing this I saw something that we haven't had for a while...rain, reminding me how precious rain is to our crops, gardens, and lakes. I encourage you to continue to make every effort to conserve your water supply. All of us can do something to conserve water.

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems, including the challenges we face on a daily basis. Some of the most amazing results we achieve in this life are usually attained by simple means and the exercise of ordinary qualities. Some of the greatest people who are living, or have ever lived, will never appear in the chronicles of history. Why? Because they are trying to become people of value, not success.
As Gandhi once said "Man becomes great exactly in the degree in which we work for the welfare of our fellow- men."

You are the difference...It is your choice...
